The project consists of the field installation of an energy storage system, specifically a lithium-ion prismatic battery with a power in the range of 1 MW and a capacity of at least 3 MWh.

With this project, Red Eléctrica offset a part of its CO2 emissions, collaborates on biodiversity conservation and contributes to the development of the local economies through the fact that reforestation works are carried out by local companies and organisations.

The electric control centre (Cecoel) is responsible for the operation and coordinated real-time monitoring of the generation and transmission facilities of the Spanish electricity system.
