Red Eléctrica, one of the most attractive companies to work for in the Spanish energy sector
Red Eléctrica de España has received the Randstad Award 2013 for being one of the best companies in the Spanish energy sector for attracting and retaining professional talent. Juan Majada, Director of Human Resources of Red Eléctrica, accepted the award on Thursday in Madrid at an event chaired by the Secretary of State for Employment and Social Security, Engracia Hidalgo.

Randstad Award in this way acknowledges the job attractiveness of the 150 largest companies in Spain, assessing factors such as remuneration policy, future prospects, working environment, long-term job security, concern for the environment and work-life balance, amongst others.

Thus, Red Eléctrica has positioned itself amongst the top three energy companies, according to data obtained from a survey, conducted by Randstad during October and November 2012, of 7,000 people of working age.

This award recognises the hard work that the Company carries out on a daily basis in the field of employer branding (the strategy companies use to appeal to prospective employees) through constant improvements in working conditions, equal opportunity, training and professional development.

Regarding Human Resources, Red Eléctrica de España was honoured in 2012 with the Special Mention for Equality in Business, awarded by the Federación de Mujeres Progresistas (Federation of Progressive Women) for being a reference in equal opportunity, for its commitment to the work-life balance of its employees and for their promotion of women to positions of responsibility.

Also in 2012, Red Eléctrica was awarded the Alares Foundation National Award for Work-Life Balance, and Social Responsibility in the "Large enterprise" category for its management model regarding continuous improvement.
