Access to the transmission grid
Red Eléctrica is responsible for the development and enlargement of the grid, its maintenance, as well as the management of the movement of electricity between external systems and the Spanish peninsula and ensuring third party access to the transmission grid under equal conditions.
As such, Red Eléctrica is responsible for the management of the procedures for grid access and connection for new agents of the system, as well as existing agents.
