Red Eléctrica concludes its concert series in Galicia with a Christmas recital at the Mondariz Spa
Next Sunday, 14 December, at 19:00, the iconic Mondariz Spa will host the Christmas concert by the Galician Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Rogelio Groba Otero. This performance will mark the finale of the classical music series with which Red Eléctrica has celebrated its 40th anniversary in Galicia.
This event, with free admission until full capacity is reached, will be the perfect closing to a series of three concerts organised by Red Eléctrica during 2025, aimed at bringing classical music to rural areas and highlighting Galicia’s cultural heritage. Following the successful performances in A Cañiza and Viana do Bolo, the Mondariz Spa will provide the perfect setting for a special evening blending tradition, emotion and musical excellence.
The programme will feature a selection of classical and contemporary works in the unique atmosphere that combines the art of sound with one of Galicia’s most renowned historic venues.
This concert represents the culmination of a close collaboration between Red Eléctrica, Redeia’s subsidiary responsible for the transmission and operation of Spain’s electricity system, and the Rogelio Groba Foundation, based on shared values such as equal access to culture, decentralisation of artistic offerings and the promotion of Galician music as a living heritage.
With over 25 years of experience and international recognition, the Galician Chamber Orchestra has established itself as one of the most prominent ensembles in Galicia’s musical scene, with a strong commitment to cultural outreach in underserved areas.
