Red Eléctrica publishes its first Healthy Workplace Report

Red Eléctrica de España has published its Healthy Workplace Report 2015, as part of the Company's commitment to promote healthy lifestyles among its employees and implement best practices in occupational health and safety. In doing so, Red Eléctrica becomes the first company to publish a specific report on their activity within the scope of occupational health and safety.

The publication of this report is the result of the occupational health and safety policies that the Company has designed, developed and implemented throughout 2015. To ensure the safety of workers, this year 14,319 inspections have been conducted on work and job activities with an increased risk of accidents.

For several years now, Red Eléctrica has undertaken actions to promote healthy lifestyles, emphasising physical activity and diet, supplementing this with occupational risk prevention studies as well as an assessment of the impact of aging on the Company and an analysis of the jobs where this impact may be higher.

In 2015, the Company received the AENOR Healthy Workplace certification, which certifies that the Company has implemented the Healthy Workplace Model, a management system that promotes and protects the health, well-being and safety of employees. This model is based on the criteria of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the continuous improvement methodology and understands health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being.
