Red Eléctrica and the Spanish Paralympic Committee sign a collaboration agreement

Red Eléctrica de España and the Spanish Paralympic Committee have signed a collaboration agreement by which Red Eléctrica will support the preparation of the Spanish athletes that will participate in the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

The agreement was signed by Ana Cuevas, Red Eléctrica’s Corporate Director of Sustainability, Innovation and Institutional Coordination, and Miguel Carballeda, President of the Spanish Paralympic Committee.

The financial contribution of Red Eléctrica will be used to improve the preventive physical therapy service for athletes who are included in the ADOP Plan (the paralympic sport support plan), with the aim of achieving greater participation and better preparation of Spanish Paralympic athletes for the Rio 2016 games.

According to this agreement, Red Eléctrica becomes a Collaborator of the Spanish Paralympic Team and will be able to use this title until its expiry in December this year.

Red Eléctrica’s Corporate Responsibility Policy has among other goals that of the promotion of culture and social well-being, therefore this initiative responds to its commitment to convey to society the values associated with sport and ​​that include, among others, self-improvement, effort and discipline, and that in the case of the Paralympic movement these are abundantly clear.
