Following the evaluation process, conducted by SGS, one of the certification companies authorised by the Club for Management Excellence for the granting the EFQM European Seals of Excellence, Red Eléctrica has earned this distinction and improved its rating score with regard to the previous evaluation. Noteworthy is the evolution of the criteria regarding leadership, people management and the key financial results of the Company. As a whole, the most valued aspects are the society results and key financial results of the company. All of this demonstrates Red Eléctrica’s firm commitment to establish itself as a sustainable, ethical and responsible business in the carrying out of its activities and being a benchmark in the markets in which it operates. This orientation towards sustainable development and a culture of excellence have become strategic areas of its business management model and its commitment to society.

According to Ignacio Babé, Secretary General of the Club for Management Excellence, "Red Eléctrica’s approach towards society, the management of its financial and economic resources to ensure the continued success of the Company and its policy on developing key alliances evidence that the path towards Red Eléctrica’s excellence is part of their identity."
