Collaboration agreement between the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Red Eléctrica de España
The Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and Red Eléctrica de España (REE) have signed a collaboration framework agreement and another specific one whereby both institutions undertake to carry out training actions aimed at showing the reality of business world, disseminating the knowledge regarding electricity systems and the promoting sustainable development, as well as other activities and projects geared towards research and cooperation.

The framework agreement, signed by the rector of the Universidad Autónoma, José María Sanz, and the Chairman of Red Eléctrica, José Folgado, establishes an annual contribution on behalf of the company of up to 100,000 euros, which will be allocated to the development projects that will be established through the signing of specific agreements, and subscribed to annually by both entities.

In this context, this very day (November 15), the Universidad Autónoma and Red Eléctrica also signed a specific agreement, by the Deputy Rector for Students and Ongoing Education, Antonio Alvarez-Ossorio, and the Director of the Chairman's Office of Red Eléctrica, Ana Cuevas, through which an agreement for the co-financing of 10 grants of the "Convocatoria de ayudas para el Inicio de estudios en Programas de Posgrado de la UAM" (a grant assistance scheme for those beginning a postgraduate study programme at the UAM) in those studies predetermined by REE within the Master and Doctorate official programme of the University's 2012-2013 academic year.

Through this agreement, Red Eléctrica de España commits to deliver, by way of financial contribution to the co-financing of the aforementioned aid the amount of 40,000 euros. A committee comprising of the UAM and REE will select the beneficiaries of said aid in conformance with the advertising and competitive bidding scheme established in the offer for aid for post-graduate study programmes.
