The Government delegate in the Basque Country, Carlos Urquijo, and the Deputy Delegate for the Government in Vizcaya, Ignacio Erice, accompanied by the Red Eléctrica’s Regional Delegate, Antonio González Urquijo, have visited the Abanto substation in Vizcaya. This substation connects the Basque Country transmission grid with the northern axis that runs along the Cantabrian coast to Galicia. This substation is essential for the evacuation of power generated by facilities located in the port of Bilbao and to guarantee the electricity supply of the industrial area of the capital of Vizcaya.
