Red Eléctrica published in 2014 the Cuadernos de viaje por tierras de Extremadura (‘Travelogue through the region of Extremadura’), on the occasion of the inauguration of the power line between the towns of Almaraz (Cáceres) and Guillena (Seville), one of the most relevant electricity infrastructure built in the region to date.
The main theme of the publication is a journey through more than forty municipalities through with this power line runs. Throughout the pages of this publication, the reader discovers the nature, heritage, history, culture, gastronomy and people of the towns and villages distributed between the north of Extremadura, through the provinces of Cáceres and Badajoz, until it enters Andalusia through Seville.
Furthermore, this travelling companion comes with original illustrations, including notes, drawings and watercolours, made expressly for this edition, along with over one hundred photographs.
With this publication, Red Eléctrica attempts to showcase the artistic, cultural and environmental wealth of the region, contributing to strengthen the identity of the cities, towns and villages through which the power line runs.
