Results for the first nine months of 2011
The European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) has granted a prize to the company in the category "Taking responsibility for a sustainable future"

Red Eléctrica de España has received the prize for business excellence in the category "Taking responsibility for a sustainable future", as part of the awards that the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) grants every year to the best European companies in the adoption of the most advanced management systems and business practices. It is the first time that the company has been present in these awards, considered as the maximum European exponent of business excellence.

First trans-European direct current link using innovative technology

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has undertaken to participate in financing the France-Spain interconnector, the first trans-European direct current link using innovative converter technology, with a EUR 350 million loan to the two operators of the French and Spanish power grids, RTE and REE.

The city's Mayor visits the facilities

The Mayor of Palencia, Alfonso Polanco, accompanied by the Director General of Energy and Mines, Ricardo González, and the Construction Director of Red Eléctrica, Alberto Granda, have today visited the works that the company is carrying out in the electricity substation of Palencia with the objective of strengthening the security of the electricity system in the city and improving the quality of supply.

After its recent enlargement

The Delegate of the Government of the Valencian Community, Ana Botella, and the General Manager of Transmission of Red Eléctrica, Carlos Collantes, have visited the Torrent substation in Valencia, accompanied by the Director of the Valencian Energy Agency, Antonio Cejalvo; the Mayoress of Torrent, María José Catalá, and Red Eléctrica's Delegate in the Valencian Community, Maite Vela.
