Transmission grid maintenance works
Red Eléctrica has rescheduled a temporary power supply interruption in the south of Fuerteventura for the early hours of 3 November

From midnight to 3:00 am

As already communicated by Endesa, Red Eléctrica has rescheduled a temporary power supply interruption for the early hours of 3 November that will leave the 66 kV Gran Tarajal and Matas Blancas substations, both located in the south of Fuerteventura, offline to carry out important maintenance work on the electricity transmission grid in order to guarantee the security of supply.

The electricity supply will be cut from approximately midnight until 3:00 am. Both the date and the time slot have been chosen in consultation with the local councils in the affected area and involve the rescheduling of work that was initially programmed for 30 October.

The fact that the current configuration of the transmission grid in the south of Fuerteventura is a single 66 kV circuit means that any unavailability of the line, whether scheduled or unexpected, will cause major incidents at the Matas Blancas and/or Gran Tarajal substations.

The Company apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused by this maintenance work on the transmission grid.
