On Friday, 6 June, Red Eléctrica and the Balearic Islands’ Government marked, with a GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) transmitter via mobile telephone, the first Bonelli’s Eagle born in the Sierra de Tramontana in Majorca since becoming extinct there in the seventies. This action forms part of the reintroduction and conservation project of this species in which the Company has taken part since 2011.
