Red Eléctrica launches its new corporate website
A space that consolidates the Company's brand and strengthens ties with its stakeholders

Red Eléctrica de España has today launched its new corporate website www.ree.es, a space with a modern design which is more visual, interactive and informative, that contributes to strengthening the Company's brand, increases awareness of its activities and enhances direct contact with its stakeholders.

The new website incorporates the latest trends in Internet tools, such as social networks and the new web 2.0 technologies; it also incorporates a cutting-edge technology platform optimised for both computer and mobile devices.

Ever since the corporate portal was created in 1999, the objective of the website has been to constantly evolve in order to meet the information needs of stakeholders and the general public. However, the evolution of the Internet in recent years linked to the development of the Company and the electricity system itself, prompted Red Eléctrica to design a new interactive communication space that brings its business management, as transmission agent and system operator, ever closer to society.

As major developments, in terms of content, noteworthy is the Red21 section, a new space that presents the energy sector’s future scenarios aimed at achieving a more sustainable energy model. In addition, the Corporate Governance section, in an exercise in transparency, reflects the Company's commitment to ethical management and the adoption of international best practices in this field. Furthermore, an application has been developed that allows real-time enquiries to be made, via mobile devices, concerning data regarding electricity demand - not only of the electricity system on the Spanish peninsula but also of those on the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands.

Red Eléctrica's corporate website becomes a new interactive communication space designed to provide information in a transparent and accurate manner; transmit knowledge in an informative approach that includes a high level of audio-visual content, and promote an energy culture amongst society as a whole, seeking the involvement of the user on issues such as energy efficiency and responsible energy consumption.
