Red Eléctrica promotes research on superconducting materials
Red Eléctrica has signed an agreement with the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) for the development of superconducting materials. The application of this property in the electricity sector technologies would significantly increase the capacity of electricity grids and reduce losses. Research will be conducted by the group of Solid State Chemistry of the UCM, an expert team that has been working on matters related to superconductivity since 1978.
