Infograph explaining why Spain is isolated, from an electricity standpoint, and thus has one of the lowest levels of interconnection in the European Union. It also provides information about future projects, including the new interconnection line with France through the eastern Pyrenees.
The new electrical interconnection line between Spain and France has a length of 64.5 kilometres, 33.5 in France and 31 in Spain. It connects the towns of Baixas, in the Roussillon region (France), and Santa Llogaia, in Alto Ampurdán (Spain).
A new infograph is available regarding the operation, characteristics and objectives of CECRE, the only control centre in the world which allows the maximum production of energy obtained from renewable sources to be integrated into the electricity system under secure conditions.
