Transmission grid
The Balearic Islands transmission grid consists of the following elements:
- Transmission lines of 66 kV or larger voltage.
- Links to interconnect the Mallorca-Minorca and Ibiza-Formentera Islands.
- Transformers compounds or substations operating at 66 kV or larger voltage.
- 220/66 kV, 220/132 kV and 66/30 kV transformers.
- Facilities of whatever voltage that the autonomous community government resolves to build, following Red Eléctrica's proposal, should they perform functions assigned usually to the transmission grid.
- All the facilities that based on the electricity transmission grid planning are resolved by the Ministry of the Economy following a proposal of the autonomous community government and Red Eléctrica's previous report.
