New wind power production record: reaching 12,880 MW
5/2/10. Today, wind power production reached a new maximum high of instantaneous power, reaching 12,880 MW at 14:38 pm, representing an increase of 9,5 % with respect the last record, 11,693 MW, on 14 January 2010.
In addition, a new record was set for hourly and diary wind power production with a value of 12.790 MWh between 14:00 pm and 15:00 pm, and 269,717 MWh, respectively.

Power demand tracking in real time
20/01/10. Red Eléctrica has published new power demand curves in real time with the demand for electrical energy on the Spanish peninsula.

Together with the graphs, Red Eléctrica provides information regarding the different production or generation technologies necessary to meet the demand in real time. In addition, it also shows the CO2 emissions associated with power generation assets on the Spanish peninsula.
