The quest for excellence and responsibility in the development of its activities has become one of the basic strategies of the Red Eléctrica Group which acts as the cornerstone of its business management orientation towards sustainable development.

Since 2004, a system for corporate management responsibility is implemented by Red Eléctrica that consists of the following elements: structural, management, temporary assignment, follow up, evaluation and learning and upgrading.

Control indicators, based on those defined by the international standards (GRI, EiRIS, World Pact, etc) and Red Eléctrica's own case experience, are available to measure the progress or efficiency the system has achieved. Both the indicators as well as the management system itself and the achieved results are continuously evaluated to find out what can be upgraded and define new targets.

Red Eléctrica is continuously working to achieve the indicators enclosed in the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI G3) related to corporate responsibility.
