Red Eléctrica is committed to the following external initiatives:
All the companies which comprise the Red Eléctrica Group joined the Global Compact by the United Nations. 2002 saw the incorporation of the parent company in Spain and in 2007 TDE in Bolivia and REDESUR in Perú.
The Global Compact is an initiative for an ethical commitment that companies worldwide are urged to take in as an integral part of their strategy and operations. A commitment that consists of ten behavior and action principles related to human rights, work, environment and the fight against corruption. The pact is intended to promote the establishment of a corporate global civic approach that reconciles the interests and processes of business operations with the civil society values and needs, as well as with UN, sector-targeted international agencies, trade unions and NGOs projects.
