During 2008 a revision process of the innovation Management System was carried out with the aim of strengthening the strategic nature of R+D+I at Red Eléctrica and achieving the objectives set out in the R+D+I Technology Plan 2008-2012, which defines the medium and long-term technological vision and identifies the key technological goals of the company. As a result of this revision process a key performance scorecard has been established to ensure the system functions properly.
R+D+I Investment projects during 2008 increased significantly, reaching €7.01 million, an increase of 60.7% over the previous year. This investment was allocated to a total of 62 projects, representing 0.66% of regulated income.
