Environmental Management Certificate, in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14001 standard, for engineering, construction and maintenance activities related to electricity transmission grids, for all its lines and substations and for the operation of the electricity system.
This certificate covers all the technical facilities and work centres of Red Eléctrica, which makes it the first Spanish company to obtain this global certificate from AENOR and the first Spanish electricity company with an environmental certificate for all transmission activities.
In 1998 Red Eléctrica completed the implementation of its Environmental Management System in accordance with this standard, which is applied to all activities that have an environmental impact in all its facilities and in the whole of mainland Spain.
