From March to May in the Castilla-La Mancha Science Museum (Cuenca).
This exhibition was created with the aim of bringing to the public how electricity manifests itself, is produced and transmitted, and how electricity systems operate; in short, what happens from when the electricity is generated until it reaches your home. The exhibition is interactive and includes 20 modules, divided into three areas, which provide an overview of the history of electricity and its main players. It also presents the essential elements of electricity generation and transmission. At first, visitors can check through several experiments the essential elements of electricity and its manifestations in nature; in the second module, they can re-visit the history of electricity and its main characters, and the last part includes some background information on Red Eléctrica's work: cables, scarescrows, beacons, isolators and some antique pieces. Monitors are also available with the mainland demand curve and the game CONTROLA: The amusing interactive simulator that offers players the chance to be an operator in an electricity control centre.
