Screen resolution

The web site is certified with an AA level of accessibility. This means that, through its liquid design, it adjusts the screen resolution and the size of the text according to the user's wishes, without causing information to be lost or affecting operations. A resolution of between 800x600 and 1024x768 with a medium or zero text size is recommended.

Number of colours

Images relating to the web site have been created taking into account accessibility criteria, providing sufficient brightness and contrast in order for them to be displayed clearly and in any array of colours. There are many decorative images for which we recommend a 16-bit colour minimum to ensure a more attractive site display.

What is an XLS file?

Files with an xls application are calculation spreadsheets. In order to be able to access these, it is necessary to gather them from the server and download them to Microsoft Excel or another compatible application. To be able to view them on the web site it is necessary to install Excel viewer, which can be obtained free-of-charge from Microsoft at www.microsoft.com.

What is a PDF file?

A pdf file is a type of graphic file which allows you to replicate documents. In order to be able to view this on the Internet it is necessary to install a product called Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be obtained from www.adobe.com. Pages which display images of this kind show a specific icon so that it can be installed. Click on it and follow the instructions which appear on the screen.

Viewing of circular images via IPIX

Some pages (section on What is Red Eléctrica > Main offices > Registered office, in Spanish and English versions) display photographs which you can browse from a central point for a 360º panoramic view. In order to view this, it is necessary to install the Active X component in Microsoft Explorer, or a Plug-in in Firefox. You can do this by clicking on the icon with the IPX symbol. Then follow the instructions which appear on the screen.

Viewing other 360º images.

The pages in the section Education > Virtual tour of CECOEL, which display photographs that can be browsed from a central point for a 360º panoramic view, require an additional Flash Player to be installed in order to be viewed.

Viewing flash presentations

Some pages include a presentation whose content is developed using flash technology. To view this properly, you simply need to have installed Version 8 or higher of Macromedia Flash Player, which you can download at [ www.adobe.com ].

Watching videos

The streaming videos are served by different formats for your device to choose the most appropriate.

Formats served are:

  1. Ogg Theora: extension. ogg, Theora video codec, audio codec Vorbis.
  2. H.264/MPEG-4 AVC: Extended MP4, H.264/AVC video codec, AAC LC audio codec.
  3. Flash video: extension. flv, require the Adobe flash player plugin 7. You can [ download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player plugin Open in new window ].

If your device is not compatible with any of these formats will offer a image and a title.

INTERNET EXPLORER

  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
  2. Place the cursor on the General label found at the top of the window.
  3. Type the following address in the Home Page section: http://www.ree.es in the address field.
  4. Press the Ok button.
  5. Press the Ok button.
