Daily balance report

Daily breakdown of the production and consumption of electricity in the Spanish peninsular system (forecast for current day and close of previous days).

This report provides a detailed breakdown of the generation obtained from facilities included under the special regime (hydroelectric, wind, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, renewable thermal and non-renewable thermal). It also includes graphs and charts with data regarding the net generation mix necessary to cover the demand and the percentage of the generation broken down by the different energy sources.

It also includes the electricity demand data after taking into consideration seasonal and working patterns, in other words, factoring in the effects of these patterns, as well as those of the maximum scheduled electricity demand and the registered daily energy.

New updates to the daily balance report

Continuing with our commitment to continuous improvement, we have made a series of modifications to expand the content of the daily balance. The changes will be available starting on 5 February. The main changes being introduced in the daily balance report are:

  • ‘Pumped storage’ is no longer included as part of ‘Hydro’ generation and is now a concept on its own.
  • ‘Waste’ is now broken down into ‘Renewable waste’ and ‘Non-renewable waste’.

Historical data published to date has also been recalculated in order to maintain the consistency and homogeneity of the same.
