This very morning, 13 October, Mr. Juan Iranzo has submitted his resignation as independent director of Red Eléctrica Corporación by letter addressed the Company’s Chairman, Mr. José Folgado.

According to a statement issued by Mr. Juan Iranzo, in light of the latest published news regarding Caja Madrid and the use of its corporate credit cards, he has resigned from the Board “thinking of the Company’s reputation”.
